We are pleased to report that the repairs to the clock in the tower have now been completed and it is now showing the correct time.

It appears that the extreme low temperatures during December were to blame causing some metal parts of the very old mechanism to fail.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you during the first two weeks of this year.

Thank you for your understanding.

Repairs to Stonework - Tower

Our stonemason has begun work on the tower this week. All stonework and glazing will be completely replaced on one of the windows.

The old stone has all been cut out in preparation for the new stone which is being carved at the moment.  This work may take several months to complete.  For more information on the restoration click here.
